Software architect, AI coach and IT consultant. For over 15 years I have been building and modernizing software, most recently with AI agents as part of everyday development.
Volomatics is the brand of Volomatics Software Solutions Alexander Knapp e.U., a company for software architecture and agentic software engineering founded in 2025 and based in Pressbaum near Vienna, Austria. Founder and owner Alexander Knapp has been building software for more than 15 years: first as a GIS engineer and technical lead for cartography and geoinformation at the Austrian Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying, then as a software architect and team lead on projects for banks, insurers, industry, aviation and public administration.
Volomatics helps companies in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, on site and remote, design sustainable architectures, modernize legacy systems step by step and put AI agents to productive use in software development. In addition, Volomatics offers AI coaching for development teams, IT consulting, talks and workshops.
I'm Alexander Knapp, working independently under Volomatics since 2025. My focus is on software architecture, modernizing legacy systems, geodata processing and Agentic Software Engineering.
Throughout my career I have supported companies in finance, insurance, industry, aviation and the public sector, both technically and organizationally. I combine deep technical knowledge with a pragmatic, agile approach.
As a tech speaker I make complex topics accessible and help teams put AI-powered development to productive use.
